in a universe in which dave grows up to be a fashion designer, jade spends her life travelling, john teaches high school science, and rose writes novels: they’re on their way to a party for rose, celebrating getting her first book published. dave, in his completely unmentionable and totally normal way, designs them all outfits to call back to their sburb duds to give them courage. (if they could get through that alive, they sure as hell can get through an industry event. besides, they’re together.) of course this was all inspired by a request from iambickilometer, who wanted john/dave with one of them unable to walk in high heels.
